The Role

  • Full-time / Permanent Position
  • Monday to Friday, 9am till 6pm
  • Competitive Salary: Negotiable DOE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buying Assistant to join our team at our Head Offices in Harwich, Essex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to the Buying Director in managing the procurement process
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable and competitive supply chain
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver product solutions and drive business growth
  • Negotiate and secure the supply of products at competitive prices
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and ensure seamless operations

Requirements

  • Desirable: Food buying experience and knowledge of the industry
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage complex products
  • Excellent communication and administration skills
  • Capable decision-making and problem-solving skills
