Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our growing quality team in Newport, UK.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspection techniques and laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct final inspections of products leaving the factory, adhering to job instructions, standards, and specifications.
  2. Perform other inspection duties, such as PPI, to support production needs.
  3. Carry out laboratory testing on test specimens according to customer specifications and international standards, maintaining the laboratory results database.
  4. Participate in Root Cause Analysis to identify and reduce non-conformance trends.
  5. Monitor laboratory data for trends and take proactive measures to prevent non-conformities.
  6. Perform internal audits to support the site's quality management system.
  7. Assist in maintaining and monitoring the site's quality management system processes, including calibration, document control, and training.
  8. Maintain good housekeeping of your work area and contribute to the overall upkeep of the working environment.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques, including visual and first-article inspections using measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and methods, including microscope and tensile testing.
  • Able to read and follow engineering drawings and specifications.
