About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Optical Manager to lead our highly successful practice in Lymington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong background in customer service and management to develop their career with one of the UK's most prestigious healthcare groups.

Job Description
  • Ensure practice efficiency and compliance with organisational procedures.
  • Deliver total customer satisfaction with products and services.
  • Effectively lead and motivate staff, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Realise the full potential of the practice regarding patient numbers and sales targets.
  • Achieve maximum profitability.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the practice.
  • Ensure health and safety standards across the practice.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department to maximise marketing effectiveness at a local level.
Main Responsibilities
  1. To drive cost efficiencies.
  2. To dispense spectacles to prescriptions.
  3. To ensure that the sale and supply of spectacles and Contact Lenses only takes place under the supervision of a registered optician for children under the age of 16 years and those who are registered sight impaired (partially sighted) or severely sight impaired (blind).
Personal Specification
  • Prior management experience or a proven track record of developing and supporting staff.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • Experience of driving business performance including sales, customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
  • Ability to motivate and engage with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and provide cover to other practices.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £25,000 per year, with the potential for bonuses. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits including company events, pension scheme, employee discounts, private dental insurance, private medical insurance, sick pay, and store discount.
