Job Description

Academics Ltd is seeking an experienced and caring Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism in a Key Stage 2 class.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to the pupil with autism in the classroom and during break times.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil, parents, and school staff.
  • Implement the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and contribute to regular reviews and updates.
  • Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENco) to identify and address any areas of need or concern.
  • Support the pupil's transition between lessons and activities.
  • Assist with preparing materials and resources for lessons.
  • Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and achievements.
Requirements:
  • Child Only Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the Update Service.
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • UK Driver's license (Desired).
