SEN Learning Support Assistant

This role is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who can provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to create a supportive learning environment, assisting with classroom management and providing tailored interventions to meet the needs of individual students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Assist with classroom management, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support students with specific learning difficulties, such as reading, writing, or math.
- Effective behaviour management skills, enabling you to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive relationships with students.
- Strong adaptability, allowing you to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in the classroom.
- Great communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
- A strong passion for learning and creativity, inspiring students to engage with the curriculum and explore their interests.
- Patient, resilient, and reliable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support to students.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
- The ability to provide two solid references covering years of experience working within education or with SEN.
- A valid DBS check, registered on the Update Service, or the ability to arrange one.
