About the Role

Nimbuscare Ltd is a leading provider of mental health services, committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals and communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as a Clinical Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment or interventions for patients with mental health needs.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to colleagues, ensuring effective and safe patient care.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including secondary care, social workers, and voluntary sector staff, to promote patient wellbeing and mental health.
  • Manage patient risk effectively, including high levels of complexity and uncertainty.
  • Support the implementation of national and local policies impacting patient health and wellbeing.
  • Utilize other clinical staff appropriately to ensure safe and effective patient care, demonstrating awareness of own limitations.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, and individualized patient care.
  • Refer patients to other services or agencies as appropriate, utilizing local guidelines and in a timely manner.
  • Provide information and advice on prescribed and over-the-counter medication, including regimens, side effects, and interactions.
  • Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately to assist patients in complex, urgent, or emergency situations.
  • Improve clinical outcomes for patients by enabling them to function independently, reducing the need for hospital admission, and promoting healthy living.
  • Establish effective working relationships with patients, their families, and carers, including education and promoting individual rights.
Other Responsibilities
  • Recognize and work within own competence and in accordance with professional codes of conduct.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and records, utilizing IT as appropriate.
  • Follow agreed protocols, referring to GPs as necessary.
  • Follow local and national Infection Control guidelines.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and report defective equipment.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring equipment is properly cared for and secured.

  • Participate in training programs implemented by Nimbuscare Ltd, including maintaining a record of personal and professional development.
  • Work with senior management to assess learning needs and undertake learning as necessary.
  • Develop and utilize a written Personal Development Plan.
  • Make effective use of learning opportunities within and outside the workplace, evaluating their effectiveness and sharing relevant information.
  • Disseminate learning and information gained to other team members to share good practice and inform others about current and future developments.
  • Undertake mandatory and statutory training as required.
