About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rebuild Repair Engineer to join our team at Finning International Inc. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products, including overhaul, repair, and refurbishment work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed inspections of machines to confirm or expand on initial field inspection reports
  • Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to enable accurate cost evaluations or condition and warranty agreements
  • Produce comprehensive lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work
  • Undertake overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machines to agreed work plans
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they operate to expected performance levels

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in plant machinery or similar industries
  • Apprentice-trained or minimum 5 years' experience in quality service environment
  • Licence to drive reach trucks
  • Practical experience in operating construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting work on large-scale machines
