Job Title: Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service as a Clinic Lead in the Early Years Team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Early Years Clinic Pathway, working with children under 5 and older children and young people who stammer or require support with their speech sounds.
  • Develop and deliver training packages for parents, carers, Speech and Language Therapists, education staff, and other professionals.
  • Work with colleagues across pathways on service delivery, audit, and quality improvement projects.
  • Provide supervision and support to therapists and assistants in the Early Years team.
Key Requirements:
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
  • Registration as a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Significant post-qualification experience working with EY children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Experience of advising/providing second opinions for children with complex speech/language or communication difficulties.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated clinician who wants to further develop their skills and experience in clinical and operational leadership and providing supervision and support to therapists and assistants in the team.

The post holder will hold a special interest within the broad range of speech, language, and communication needs within the caseload.

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Head of Children and Young People's Therapies.
