Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Haematology Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full clinical care to patients with blood disorders, including haematological malignancy. They will also provide specialist advice on all aspects of haematology to colleagues within the Trust and Primary Care.

The postholder will be based at Furness General Hospital but will provide on-call cover for all hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide full clinical care to patients with blood disorders
  • Offer specialist advice on all aspects of haematology
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective patient care

Person Specification:

  • FRCPath (Haematology) or equivalent qualification
  • Registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice
  • Broad training in all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology
