This position is based at Old Oak Common, near Acton, West London.
Project Overview
We seek an experienced Senior Planner to join our Old Oak Common Station project team as part of the Anthro JV (Egis and VVB Engineering). This role plays a pivotal part in developing our delivery capability, ensuring seamless integration of design procurement, construction, and testing & commissioning for this major Mechanical Electrical Public Health Fire and Communication (MEPHFC) contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive scope and work breakdown structure for the program's various components, including key assumption capture.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Controls/Planning team to ensure consistency and integration among program, budget, and risk baselines.
- Support the Head of Planning in submitting timely Clause 32 programs.
- Manage and control comments made by the main Contractor, ensuring timely closeout.
- Promote program communications on CEMAR and conduct regular follow-up discussions with the main Contractor to maintain an accepted program throughout the project duration.
- Liaise with the Design Team to manage and track design deliverables on the program, considering their impact on procurement and construction.
- Foster ongoing collaboration with the Quality Assurance team, managing handover deliverables on the program.
- Align technical and construction assurance processes with the program, tracking and controlling deliverables.
- Implement Earned Value Analysis (EVA), integrating cost and program parameters.
- Cultivate alignment with the commercial team on Key Performance Indicators, including SPI and CPI.
- Conduct time-impact assessments for changes in accordance with clause 62 of the contract and the change control process.
- Lead program workshops to review time-impact assessments with the wider team and propose mitigation measures.
- Integrate the Tender Event Schedule with the program, reflecting procurement relationships with design and construction, and tracking long lead items' impact on the budget, Target Price, and installation.
- Update the program with actual progress on site based on Site Shift Reports.
Your Background
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Primavera (P6) and MS Project.
- Bring experience in the rail sector, preferably in the UK.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Hold a degree or NVQ level 3 equivalent.
- Possess good technical understanding and excellent written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrate strong planning and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Show ability to interface effectively with all levels of client organization.
