
Farm Management Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Management Specialist to join our team at Blue Arrow. As an Assistant Farm Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our dairy farm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain high standards of hygiene in all areas of the farm.
- Oversee the welfare of all cow groups, observing and noting their movement and behavior.
- Manage data capture and clamp management.
- Lead and direct the team on feeding duties, using a Total Mixed Ration (TMR) system.
- Supervise the maintenance of machinery, including tractors, telehandlers, and robot milkers.
- Manage agricultural contractors and oversee health and safety policy implementation.
- Record keeping and maintaining legal obligations of a dairy farm.
- Assist with research trials and seek improvements to dairy management.
Requirements
- Degree/HND or equivalent in Agriculture or a related field.
- Considerable previous experience in farm management or a relevant role.
- Full, current driver's licence is essential.
- Experience of managing a team and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to working in a farm environment.
Competitive Salary and Benefits
