As a key member of our Group Technology Services team, you'll work closely with business units across the SSE organisation to implement and maintain our security services. You'll be responsible for:
- Providing support to the GTS Service Operations Manager to implement vulnerability and security policies and practices that protect SSE from cyber threats.
- Using people, processes, and technology to continuously monitor and improve our security posture, preventing and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
- Helping to develop and implement changes to infrastructure and cloud security services that improve SSE's security posture.
- Carrying out regular security application and privileged access management audits, managing responses on behalf of the GTS Group.
- Ensuring the operational security and integrity of infrastructure and cloud services, delivering against SSE's standards.
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- Ability to interact with SSE staff at all levels, up to senior management, and across all business units.
- Experience delivering IT security vulnerability services and disciplines, coupled with expertise in applying security professional standards.
- Experience across a broad range of IT client and server operating systems (Windows, Redhat, Unix).
- Experience identifying, analysing, and remediating vulnerabilities using VM tools (Qualys/Defender/Kenna/SEP), with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines in a high-pressure environment.
