Adult Community Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry

The Specialty Doctor will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment services for patients referred to the team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments and follow-up care for patients under the supervision of a consultant.
- Provide liaison with referrers, including consulting as required, and management and treatment of patients.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of improved clinical services, including audit, quality, patient experience, and data interrogation.
- Participate in local teaching and training for specialty doctors and the wider medical community.
- Help triage referrals and attend MHA assessments, requiring S12 approval or the ability to apply for it.
The post holder will be expected to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
They will also need to have a strong understanding of mental health services and the ability to contribute to the development and delivery of improved clinical services.
