Job Description: Painter and Decorator
- Painting and Decorating Expertise: Carry out a range of decorating tasks throughout our care homes, including painting, wallpapering, plasterwork repairs, and woodwork repairs.
- Collaborative Approach: Assist contractors with various projects as needed.
- Maintenance and Repair Skills: Conduct both reactive and preventative repair tasks, effectively diagnosing issues and implementing solutions.
- Safety First: Always adhere to strict safety protocols and best practices in all work activities.
- Versatile Support: Contribute to other maintenance tasks within the homes as required.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant trade, or possess equivalent time-served experience.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
- Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Exhibit excellent time management abilities.
- Additional trade skills in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work are highly advantageous.
- Previous experience as a dedicated Painter and Decorator is essential.
- Experience within the Health & Social Care sector is desirable but not mandatory.
