Aquaculture Specialist

• Conduct thorough assessments of aquaculture farms to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Summarize and evaluate audit findings, and submit reports in a timely manner.
• Communicate findings and results of audits with client site management or appropriate representatives.
• Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits within a determined timeframe.

1. At least five years' experience in agriculture/aquaculture roles and knowledge of animal welfare throughout the supply chain.
2. An HND or degree in Agriculture/Aquaculture, or related discipline.
3. An ISO lead assessor qualification, HACCP qualification, and Poultry/Animal Welfare Officer qualifications.
4. Knowledge of farms assurance schemes and animal welfare legislation.
5. The ability to communicate with and engage with the farming community and colleagues in a confident and patient manner.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Enthusiasm, energy, a keen eye for detail, and a passion to improve standards.
8. Ability to manage conflict and difficult situations.
9. Ability to manage own time and meet strict deadlines.
10. A flexible approach.
11. Respect for individual and Company confidentiality rights.
12. Full UK driving license.
13. Willingness and ability to travel.
14. Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
15. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
