About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex needs in our acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide effective client-centred occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
  • To devise, implement, and evaluate individual treatment and intervention plans to maximise independence and promote regaining of functional abilities.
  • To work effectively and efficiently on an individual and team level within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining clear communication networks with staff, patients, and carers.
  • To build partnerships with and network with colleagues across health, social care, and education, working in partnership with relevant community resources.
Person Specification
  • Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Member of BAOT.
  • Documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development Portfolio.
  • Evidence of understanding of the consequences on ADL function and wellbeing as a result of short or long-term changes in physical or mental health.
  • Knowledge of adaptive and other specialist equipment.
  • Effective, fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to plan, deliver, and evaluate individual OT programmes.
