We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Band 6 practitioner in our Wheelchair Service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults and children with complex needs, assessing their mobility requirements and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs
  • Prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
  • Work with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality service performance
  • Liaise with service user groups and other stakeholders to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes
  • Provide support for internal and external training programmes
  • Undertake and document risk assessments and corresponding risk management
Requirements
  • Registered with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Clinical Scientist, or registered as a Nurse with the NMC
  • Full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
