Project Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team at MWH Treatment. The successful candidate will be based at Burham with hybrid working available.
About the RoleThe Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager on a single or portfolio of projects, providing general duties and taking the lead on project governance, supply chain relationships, takeover, and client-facing outputs. The role will involve working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of projects, while also developing and improving the project team and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Support the project team in ensuring that all legal and industry standards impacted by the project are achieved.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure that H&S management arrangements and people are in place for the duration of the project.
- Administer the Project Management Plan, ensuring that Quality Assurance has been accommodated for in all aspects.
- Deploy the MWHT Business Management System.
- Ensure that all staff working on the project have the necessary training and experience for their roles.
- Understand all aspects of the client contract and the contracts cascaded to the project supply chain.
- Support the Project Manager and QS in supply chain notifications of potential EWNs, CE, CI, or changes in scope.
- Work with the Project Manager and QS to ensure supply chain project costs do not exceed allowances.
- Work with the LDE, Project Manager, and QS to manage internal design costs.
- Become proficient in the use of the client's digital platforms.
- Ensure that project outputs are cascaded and communicated as appropriate to design and construction project team members.
- Manage accountability of internal and external stakeholders in relation to programme obligations.
- Elevate key project issues and risks to the Project Manager or QS, along with mitigation plans and actions.
- Implement MWHT Quality management and reporting, as well as manage client KPIs.
- Continuously improve against contractual key performance indicators.
- Take a lead role in project governance from a client-facing perspective, ensuring that all contractually required documentation is progressed with the Project Manager.
- Assist in the resource profiling of the project programme and project team.
- Support the Site Manager in look-ahead and supply chain progress reporting.
- The Assistant Project Manager will represent the Project Manager at client meetings, reporting back on any issues or actions that arise.
