Job Title: A&E General Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate A&E General Nurse to join our team at a reputable nursing home in Newton, Powys. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our residents, working under the guidance of an experienced manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high standards of care to our residents, focusing on their individual needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to create and implement person-centred care plans.
  • Administer medication accurately and thoroughly, maintaining accurate records of service user information.
  • Monitor and assess the needs of our residents, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Lead a team of carers, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Liaise with external professionals, including GPs and other healthcare providers, to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Nurse qualified (ideally RGN or RMN qualified)
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in a nursing home setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents
  • A clean DBS and good references
  • Experience of caring for people with dementia and other complex needs
