Job Summary
Hays Specialist Recruitment - Education is seeking a skilled teaching assistant to support students in various educational settings across Stoke-on-Trent. About the Role
This position offers flexibility in terms of hours and days worked, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. As a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparing materials, and engaging with students to promote their learning. You will also be required to work independently, using your initiative to resolve problems and manage challenging situations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
- Provide one-to-one support to students, either individually or in small groups

- Prepare materials, resources, and equipment as required by teachers
- Work independently, using initiative to resolve problems and manage challenging situations
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as necessary

Requirements
- Previous experience in an educational setting, ideally as a teaching assistant
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Genuine enthusiasm for education and a desire to make a positive impact
- Willingness to undergo vetting checks and enhanced DBS screening
