About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, overseeing the management of labor, plant, and equipment, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of site teams, including labor, plant, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement site-specific plans and procedures to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the service provided.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including site diaries, progress reports, and safety records.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience of working on design and build projects, as well as in the management of health and safety, and the design and procurement processes. You will also need to have experience of managing all aspects of the build process, from design and procurement through to installation on site and handover.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of working on design and build projects.
  • Experience of managing health and safety, and the design and procurement processes.
  • Experience of managing all aspects of the build process, from design and procurement through to installation on site and handover.
  • Trade experience and site experience preferable.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
  • CSCS Card at Site Manager level.
  • Valid SMSTS certificate.
