About the Role

TikTok is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our AI Data Service and Operations team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing the cost management infrastructure and delivering cost insights to leadership to drive cost optimization decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular analysis to support cost management objectives, such as budget analysis, business cost Root Cause Analysis (RCA), cost savings, etc.
  • Engage with stakeholders to deeply understand the business requirements of data labeling projects and have a strong sense of the cost implications.
  • Drive process improvements to the end-to-end cost lifecycle, including budgeting, cost allocation processes, and support developing the cost infrastructure such as iterating on the cost management metrics.
  • Prepare high-quality cost reports, deliver presentations tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and drive cost optimization conversations with the operations teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or other relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in driving operations cost efficiency or financial analysis, preferably for large-scale operations.
  • Solid analytical skillset and business acumen, with the ability to connect business landscape to cost changes.
  • Skills in verbal and written communication across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise maturity in handling sensitive data.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
