Job Overview

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Registered Pharmacy Technician to join its team. This is a rotational role, offering opportunities for personal growth and development in various aspects of hospital pharmacy practice.

About the Role

This position involves working across clinical services, dispensing, aseptic services, counselling, and clinical trials. The ideal candidate will possess relevant pharmacy experience, a BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (Pharmaceutical Sciences) qualification or equivalent, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Rotational duties between clinical services, dispensing, aseptic services, counselling, and clinical trials
  • Develop skills in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice
  • Participate in extended hours working, including weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3/BTEC in pharmacy services or equivalent nationally recognised qualification
  • Registration with the GPhC
  • Accredited Checking Technician Qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Recent dispensing experience
