Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to support our students with special educational needs in Hounslow. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with children with special educational needs or youth work experience. You will be responsible for providing support to students in Early Years, KS1, and KS2 classes, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students with special needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support students' progress.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A background in teaching or youth work, with experience working with children with special educational needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.A patient and empathetic approach, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
