Personal Tax Consultant

A Yeovil based accountancy practice is seeking a Personal Tax Consultant to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be a key member of the team, taking an active role in billing and additional ad hoc tasks. You will be focused on the delivery of work in line with budgeted recovery rates, as well as proactively searching for opportunities to add value. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing expert tax advice to clients.
  2. Managing tax compliance.
  3. Preparing tax returns.
  4. Preparing P11D forms.
  5. Taking ownership of your ongoing work.
  6. Assisting with the team, including helping with the development of junior members.
  7. Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
  8. Staying up to date with UK tax legislation and industry trends.
Requirements:

The Personal Tax Consultant will need an ATT qualification or AAT level 4. You will also require:

  1. Good technical knowledge of UK tax laws.
  2. Post-qualification experience with personal and business tax regulations, plus VAT and PAYE.
  3. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  4. Proficiency in accounting/tax software and Microsoft Office.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
  6. A full driving licence, plus unrestricted access to a car (preferred).
Salary and Benefits:

The Personal Tax Consultant salary is negotiable depending on experience. The company offers a company pension and a competitive salary package.

Working Hours and Location:

The role is full-time, permanent, and based in Yeovil. You will work Monday to Friday and will be required to attend the office in person.
