Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Activity Coordinator to join our team at Ultimate Activity Camps. As an Early Years Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding, structured sports, art, and play activities to our Early Years children, ensuring their welfare and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Activity Delivery: Prepare and deliver engaging activities for our Ultimate Activity Juniors, aged 4-5, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment.
  • Welfare and Safety: Continuously promote the welfare and safety of the children in your care, adhering to all policies and procedures on camp.
  • Pastoral Role: Take a key role in maintaining the welfare and providing high-quality care to the children in your group, working closely with the Early Years Leader and parents as necessary.
  • Group Leadership: Welcome new children into your group, supervise, and engage with them outside of activity times.
  • Adaptability: Recognize that you may work with children from differing backgrounds and stages of development, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.

Requirements
  • Enthusiasm and Energy: An enthusiastic and energetic individual, passionate about working with and developing children through play and activity.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children aged 4-5 in a sport, art, or education setting.
  • Instructional Skills: A confident instructor, able to adjust delivery and structure according to age and ability.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on camp.
  • Team Player: A flexible and team-oriented individual, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the camp.
Desirable Requirements
  • Early Years Experience: Experience working with Early Years aged children, delivering the EYFS.
  • Qualifications: Qualified to Level 2 in childcare or Early Years or working towards a degree-level qualification in a related subject.
  • First Aid Qualifications: Hold a Paediatric First Aid (12 hour or 6 hour) or First Aid at Work qualification.
