Senior Nursery Practitioner

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our dynamic team at Connexzia. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our early years setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
• Care for all children, ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily
• Observe, assess, and plan for the children's individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and creating opportunities for children to progress
• Keep up to date with legislation in early education and ensure all paperwork complies with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
• Lead a team, encouraging and raising practice daily
• Delegating tasks to ensure the smooth running of the room
• Sharing creative ideas and involving your team in classroom decision-making
• Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and securing bonds with the children

Requirements

• A full and relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years is essential for this role
• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting in a Room Leader position
• Knowledge of the current EYFS
• Sound knowledge of child protection procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion, motivation, and the ability to work well within a team
• Adaptability to a fun and inspiring working environment
• Good ICT skills
• A current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate
