Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Your new role at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited involves working with a small accountancy practice in Tiverton, supporting a variety of clients from sole traders, partnerships, charities, and trusts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory financial accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Communicating with clients to request relevant information and managing client queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaising directly with clients when preparing management accounts and supporting the Associates and Partners with ad-hoc projects.
  • Managing multiple projects while working towards continuous monthly deadlines and maintaining records of client information and interaction on a CRM system (CCH).
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and internal procedures.
  • Additional work identified as necessary for the operation of the business, including preparation of VAT returns.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualification (minimum level 3 AAT) and knowledge of Quickbooks, Sage, and/or Xero.
  • Excellent communication skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be available after the probationary period.
What You'll Get:

The working hours are 9am to 5pm, and you will work with colleagues supporting two partners.
