We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Equipment Yard Operative to join our team in Derby. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our depot by ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and yard area, free from hazards and obstructions.
  • Ensure proper storage of tools and equipment to prevent damage and loss.
  • Prepare equipment for delivery by thoroughly cleaning and inspecting it.
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment onto delivery vehicles.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience working as a labourer, preferably in a hire depot or yard environment.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous but not essential.
