Automation Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Escape in Glasgow. With a competitive salary of £65,000 per annum, this role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge systems and technology.
Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the development, operation, safety, and availability of electrical and controls systems and equipment. This involves:
- Driving continuous improvements to achieve excellence in performance and productivity.
- Monitoring reliability metrics and goals to drive performance improvements.
- Troubleshooting, fault finding, updating, and programming of control systems (PLC/HMI).
- Providing technical support to others regarding Automation, PLC, and HMI.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who has a passion for engineering excellence and wants to make a meaningful contribution to our team.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum HND in Electrical, Controls, or Automation Engineering.
- Past experience in FMCG/manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with Siemens PLC controls.
