This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Vehicle Damage Assessor in our purpose-built site in Chadderton.
As part of our team, you will undertake the inspection of damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair, and timeframes. You will identify the correct prescribed repair method, prepare, record, and maintain records of electronic and manual estimates.
You will liaise effectively with insurance companies to obtain their authority to repair the vehicle at the costs estimated. You will also liaise with customers' engineers and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing various vehicle marques, keeping up to date with all repair methodologies, and understanding different insurers and manufacturers' literature and bulletins.
Teamwork is essential in this position, as you will work with other colleagues in the bodyshop and across other functional areas. Your aim is to ensure we get the vehicle back on the road safely and in quick time.
You will preferably be NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds or ATA/ IMI qualified with a solid Bodyshop background as an Estimator or VDA/Vehicle Damage Assessor, Audatex trained. You will also require a full UK driving licence.
