Senior Test Technician

As a Senior Test Technician at Vibe Recruit, you will be responsible for performing detailed testing of electronic and optical components, including lasers, photodiodes, modulators, and optical amplifiers, using advanced testing equipment. You will conduct fibre-optic testing, including insertion loss and polarisation mode dispersion, and utilise precision instruments to measure optical parameters such as wavelength, power, and bandwidth.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse test data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues
• Compile comprehensive test reports and present findings to engineering and production teams
• Provide recommendations for process improvements based on test results
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to optical component performance, including alignment issues, signal degradation, and connector problems
Requirements
• Strong understanding of electronic and optical testing principles
• Experience with advanced testing equipment, including optical spectrum analysers, power meters, and OTDRs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
