About Our Team

Our Water business employs around 1000 highly skilled and motivated people working on projects for all of the water and sewerage companies across the UK, and most of the water-only companies. We deliver a full range of end-to-end water and wastewater services including data collection and analytics; modelling and risk analysis/optimisation; data visualisation and mapping; artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions; feasibility studies; outline and detailed design of capital solutions; and development of optimised, risk-based, operational interventions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing investment plans and strategies for our water industry clients
  • Supporting our clients in devising asset management strategies to support their investment plans and/or developing solutions and designs to maintain or replace assets
  • Undertaking routine and detailed civil/structural analysis checks on a variety of asset types
  • Liaising with our internal innovation team to identify opportunities to trial and test innovative techniques and technologies

About You

  • BEng, MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering, or similar qualification
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), or nearing Chartered Engineer, status with ICE, IStructE or similar
  • Sufficient and appropriate relevant postgraduate experience working within a consulting engineering practice or other equivalent organisational structure
  • Demonstrate knowledge of engineering design procedures and construction processes related to concrete, steel and masonry.
  • Experience of inspections of civil / structural assets
  • Working knowledge of BS/EN standards
  • Experience of utilising a relevant data acquisition / analysis software package
