Job Summary:

FalconSmartIT is seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance data processing systems using Python and AWS components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and technologies and apply that knowledge to improve our data architecture.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in AWS and Python development, with a focus on data engineering.
  • Deep experience with AWS solutions, including Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora Postgres, SQS, API Gateway, and Athena.
  • Experience with data analysis and SQL.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with container technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial Services expertise, with experience working with Equity and Fixed Income asset classes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or IT-related field, or equivalent IT-related experience.
