Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled General Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

As a General Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining cleanliness of the front of house areas, and providing excellent customer service to students and staff.

Our team of experienced professionals tailor our catering service provision to meet the unique needs of each school, and we invest in the training and development of our staff to ensure they have the right skills to succeed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the front of house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
  • Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of food and supplies and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Providing friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within education catering is ideal.
  • Good health and safety knowledge is essential.
  • Flexibility, a can-do attitude, and excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and enjoy succeeding as a team.
