Senior Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Control Engineer to join our design team at Urenco Capenhurst.
This exciting role offers a unique blend of technical challenge and leadership opportunities, allowing you to develop your skills and expertise in process automation and control systems.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering front-end engineering design (FEED) packages, including technical feasibility studies and best available technology (BAT) assessments.
You will work closely with our engineering service providers to ensure the successful delivery of conceptual and basic design packages for new build or modification projects.
Your expertise in process automation and control systems will be essential in developing Urenco's design standards to meet world-class safety standards and site license requirements.

What You Will Achieve
- Promote a proactive safety culture and perform analysis to create a learning from experience behaviour.
- Ensure advanced plant designs comprise safety features based on best industrial practice and lessons learned from the business.
- Determine C&I design engineering aspects, options, and evaluation in contribution to feasibility/optioneering/best available technology studies.
- Deliver conceptual design and design specifications with focus on C&I expertise area.
- Deliver basic design packages concerning Core Plant Technology (CPT) with respect to C&I systems and equipment.
- Provide directions and oversight concerning detailed design and supplier manufacturing quality processes on request of site or group project managers.
- Define and maintain Core Plant Technology (CPT) design expertise on the basis of Urenco best practice and world-class state-of-the-art technology (Design Technology Excellence Centre).
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Process Automation, or Robotics. Any other equivalent in combination with a Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination in associated areas.
- Preferred: Master's Degree or PhD from an accredited college or university in Process/Advanced Technology, Informatics & Automation, Electronics, or any equivalent.
- Recognised specialist in expertise area; high, in-depth level of knowledge and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrable track record in successful design delivery involving conceptual designs and FEED of complex process facilities.
- Minimum of 3 years in role of lead engineer and/or design engineering manager.
