Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement statistically sound approaches for nonclinical safety studies, ensuring robust data analysis and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide critical experimental design input for in vivo and in vitro studies.
  • Develop automated statistical solutions to enhance study conduct and reporting efficiency.
  • Partner with data science and computational groups to identify innovative solutions to complex scientific problems.
  • Deliver statistical training to scientists, promoting a culture of statistical excellence within Pfizer.
  • Foster a strong statistical network with other Pfizer statisticians, driving collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • M.S. in Statistics or Biostatistics with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an applied statistics setting, or Ph.D. in Statistics or a comparable quantitative field with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in R programming (2+ years).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong knowledge in general linear models, experimental design, probability, categorical data analysis, and Bayesian analysis.
  • Experience analyzing high-dimensional data; familiarity with machine learning methods.
  • R Shiny-app programming experience.
  • Proficiency with other statistical software (e.g., SAS, JMP, and GraphPad Prism).
  • Familiarity with version control and collaborative programming (e.g., Git).
  • Strong scientific background, with a good working knowledge of biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or toxicology.
