Childcare Trainee

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Childcare Trainee in a supportive learning environment at Marsh Lane Day Nursery.

As a Childcare Trainee, you will assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the EYFS curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children's personal care needs, including feeding and promoting independence
• Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming nursery
• Collaborate with the nursery team to plan and deliver engaging learning activities
• Observe and assess children's development, documenting observations and contributing to individual learning plans
• Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians

Requirements:

• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
• Able to gain a clear DBS

Working Hours:

• 40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
• Marsh Lane Day Nursery is open from 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, all year round
