About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team at the Port of Leith. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and fault-finding of various machinery and equipment within the port.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of DC motor control equipment, AC motor starting equipment, 12/24 v DC control systems, automotive repairs, PLC controls, HV and LV network experience, LV cable joining
  • Develop an in-depth working knowledge of plant equipment and associated drawings to minimize downtime when repairs take place
  • Report any damage or misuse to supervisory staff and liaise with operational staff to inform of timescales for repairs

Requirements:

  • Relevant electrical qualification
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Driving license essential
  • Demonstrated experience in heavy engineering environment
  • Relevant Health and Safety training
