Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our engineering department at our Hartlepool site.

This key position provides leadership and direction to the engineering team, ensuring the effective implementation of engineering policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and regional engineering regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement site engineering activities, including capital planning, capital project identification, process optimization, energy management, and maintenance delivery.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
  • Support the engineering team in resolving technical issues and modifying processes or equipment.
  • Develop and manage the site engineering budget.
  • Identify and assess the criticality of plant, equipment, and systems.
  • Manage and implement the spare parts holding policy.
  • Maintain predefined KPI targets.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification/degree in Process manufacturing engineering or related process-based engineering.
  • Significant experience in a large-scale process industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and employee engagement skills.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles in practical application.
  • Proven team leadership and development.
  • Strong business knowledge and ability to interface with manufacturing organization.
  • Food industry knowledge (desirable).
  • SAP knowledge (desirable).
