Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties at St Luke's Academy.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our Class Teacher and Pastoral Support team to provide academic support and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Class Teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Support students with challenging behavior in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who require extra help
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
