The Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices, maintaining supplier records, and supporting the overall Accounts Payable function.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process and approve purchase invoices in accordance with company policy.
  2. Check and match stock invoices against purchase orders, raising queries for discrepancies.
  3. Prepare and perform regular payment runs.
  4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Respond to supplier and internal queries regarding payments and invoices.
  6. Review and record employee expenses via Pleo/Netsuite.
  7. Assist in month-end closing activities, including prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations.
  8. Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects and reporting.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a stand-alone Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
  2. Proactive and able to work on your initiative.
  3. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
