Design Engineer Role

Premier Engineering is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join their team in Watford. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing specialist equipment, working closely with clients to determine requirements and liaising with manufacturing providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop technical drawings using CAD software
  • Produce fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements
  • Communicate directly with clients to determine design specifications
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure timely delivery
  • Be involved in final assembly of products
  • Create documentation for design and project reports
  • Update 3D models and drawings
  • Check drawings for sign off
Requirements:
  • 0-3 years' experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position
  • Experienced using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD
  • Experience with 3D CAD would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded parts
  • Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Engineering or similar
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient using MS Office
