Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team at Owens Group. As a key member of our workshop parts stores team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all documentation, goods in/out, and maintaining a safe and efficient store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Maintain a high level of stock accuracy, conducting regular stock checks and cycle counting as required.
- Collaborate with suppliers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations and maintain good working relationships.
- Input orders and deliveries into our Sage 200 system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining files and spreadsheets.
Requirements:
- Educated to NVQ / GCSE standard.
- Experience in a similar position is desirable but not essential.
- Warehousing & Stores Level 2 or 3 Qualified is desirable but not essential.
- Mechanical understanding and an understanding of HGV parts is essential.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel) Spreadsheets (basic).
- Experience with Sage 200, desirable but not essential.
- An effective communicator with good telephone manner.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good Negotiation skills.
- Team player with a flexible Can-Do attitude.
- Must have a valid UK Driving Licence.
Working Environment:
Our workshop parts stores is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring a high level of organization and attention to detail. As a Stock Controller, you will be working closely with our workshop team to ensure the smooth operation of our stores and the safe keeping of parts and consumables.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits and opportunities for professional development.
