Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead ICT Teacher to join our dedicated team at a leading Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group in Totnes, Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs by providing them with cutting-edge ICT education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ICT department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement innovative ICT curriculum tailored to meet the needs of SEN students.
- Integrate technology into all aspects of teaching and learning to enhance educational outcomes.
- Provide professional development and support to teaching staff in the use of ICT.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in ICT or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching ICT, preferably within an SEN environment.
- Strong understanding of SEN educational practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading a team.
- Proficient in the use of ICT tools and software, with a passion for integrating technology into education.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational technology trends.
