Key Responsibilities:- Setting Out: Accurately interpret and implement designs, specifications, and drawings to set out the works on-site.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all works are carried out to the required quality standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervision: Oversee site activities, managing subcontractors and site operatives to ensure efficient progress.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including daily diaries, material quantities, and progress reports.
- Liaison: Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer, with specific expertise in setting out.
- Education: Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations, particularly in water infrastructure projects.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential.
