About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As an Apprentice Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people in schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver low-intensity CBT interventions to children and young people in schools
  • Work closely with families, school staff, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive service
  • Manage a caseload of patients and complete assessments, care plans, and other relevant documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and screening meetings
  • Provide consultation and signposting advice to other agencies
Requirements
  • Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1-year Education Mental Health Practitioner Course
  • Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker
  • Experience of working with children and young people, their families, and others
  • Post-registration experience in emotional and wellbeing assessment and care
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
