About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Wabtec UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the maintenance and utilities of our Doncaster site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the maintenance and utilities of the Doncaster site, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and equipment uptime.
- Effectively manage manpower, allocated overheads, and materials to achieve projects and necessary planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Lead and promote continuous improvement activities to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Manage a team and contract staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental improvements to comply with relevant legislation.
- Provide call-out service by telephone and arrange appropriate staff/contractors to attend the site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building systems, maintenance, and facilities management within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with tendering and implementing projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in budget management, with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a strong understanding of risk management.
- IOSH certification (desirable).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Competent in MS applications, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
