Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Administrator to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating advanced software on specialized radiological equipment, assessing clinical justification for x-ray examinations, and providing timely and efficient radiographic services.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Radiography, a Postgraduate Award in Mammography, and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. They will also have significant work experience as a qualified mammographer within a Breast Unit and demonstrate equipment competencies in mammography equipment and QA tests.

The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, and flexibility to adapt to changing demands on the diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an Operator under the IR(ME)R Radiation Regulations and assess the clinical justification of referrals.
  • Provide timely and efficient radiographic services to agreed standards.
  • Monitor and adjust work priorities to meet Trust targets.
  • Communicate with referrers about changes to referrals.
  • Operate advanced software on specialized radiological equipment.

Person Specification:

  • BSc Radiography or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate Award in Mammography.
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Significant work experience as a qualified mammographer.
