About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our pharmacy aseptic unit team as an Aseptic Dispensing Assistant Technical Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment, providing an efficient, effective, and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Dispense aseptically prepared items in line with aseptic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  2. Assist with manufacturing processes within the aseptic unit as required.
  3. Receive and process clinically verified work requests from clinics and wards, providing timely and accurate information to staff.
  4. Support the clinical verification process, obtaining and organizing prescriptions for pharmacists to screen prior to being sent to the aseptic unit.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant SOPs and ensuring stock rotation and date compliance.
  6. Participate in basic clerical duties, including filing and photocopying.
  7. Work flexibly across all pharmacy departments, covering peak periods or absence as required.
  8. Participate in training and development activities, including personal development and education of colleagues.
  9. Participate in appraisals and personal reviews, working to achieve agreed objectives.
  10. Undertake weekend, late night, and Bank Holiday working as required.
